The University of Sydney School of Rural Health

Considering a medical degree? The University of Sydney is now offering the four-year postgraduate Doctor of Medicine program at the School of Rural Health in Dubbo. The program is delivered in state-of-the-art teaching facilities including simulation suites, learning studios, tutorial rooms, and a lecture theatre, and utilises the latest in medical education technology including 3D modelling and virtual and augmented reality. Students in Dubbo enjoy the benefits of a lower cost of living in a regional centre, a relaxed lifestyle and easier commuting while receiving clinical exposure in the newly redeveloped Dubbo Hospital. Students in the Dubbo Stream enjoy the same medical education as their peers in Sydney with the unique advantages of smaller class sizes, more face-to-face time with clinicians and tutors, while being supported by a dedicated community of medical professionals. Every year, 24 places in the Dubbo Stream are available to first-year students eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Pathways are available for Indigenous students and those from rural backgrounds. Subsidised onsite accommodation is available for first-year students in the Dubbo Stream. Visit sydney.edu.au
