Western Sydney Airport

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is the catalyst for the creation of a new era of jobs and economic opportunities here in Western Sydney. We’re building a new airport for all of Sydney, but one that is proudly at home in one of the most vibrant and exciting regions in Australia, Western Sydney. We are proud that around half of the workforce building Western Sydney International are from the local community.Work to build Western Sydney International is well underway. The project is now at peak construction, with thousands of people working on the site to build the passenger terminal and runway. The construction of Sydney’s new airport is creating training and upskilling opportunities that will set young locals up with skills for lifelong employment with one-third of our workforce currently learning on the job as trainees, graduates, apprentices or workers training to upgrade their qualifications and skills. As well as all the jobs at the airport, Western Sydney International will be the catalyst for even more high quality jobs to be created across the region. Young people across Western Sydney can look forward to realising their potential right here, living and working in their own community, with unlimited possibilities for what they can achieve.
