Conditions of Entry
The purpose of these Conditions of Entry is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants at Resources for Courses Pty Ltd Events. You acknowledge and agree that entry to and attendance at the Event is subject to compliance with these Conditions of Entry. You will also be bound by any Conditions of Entry for the relevant Event venue.
DEFINITIONS
1. In these Conditions of Entry:
“Event Organiser” means Resources for Courses Pty Ltd (ABN 58 058 570 700).
“Attendee” includes any person participating in the Event, including exhibitors, school group participants, general admission visitors, staff, or guests.
“Event” means the relevant expo, show, or event run by the Event Organiser as referred to in this document.
“Venue” means the physical location where the Event is held.
2. Events covered by these Conditions of Entry:
a) VCE and Careers Expo 2026, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 30 April – 2 May 2026
b) Victorian Careers Show 2026, Melbourne Showgrounds, 13–15 May 2026
c) HSC and Careers Expo 2026, Royal Randwick Racecourse, 28–30 May 2026
d) Western Sydney Careers Expo 2026, Sydney Showground, 25–27 June 2026
PUBLIC HEALTH
3. Public health measures (e.g. mask-wearing, vaccination, isolation) will only apply if required by law or the venue at the time of the event. Attendees are expected to follow any such directives if in place.
ENTRY AND EVENT CHANGES
4. Exhibitors must provide the Organiser with the full name and mobile number of each staff member who will be working onsite at the event. This information must be submitted prior to the staff member’s arrival onsite, using the method specified by the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any individual whose details have not been provided in advance.
5. School Group Booking attendees must present a valid Event Ticket to gain entry.
6. General admission attendees may be required to provide contact details (including but not limited to first name, last name, mobile number and/or email address) when purchasing Event Tickets online.
7. All attendees must present valid event accreditation for admission. General admission and school group participants must present a valid entry ticket (paper or digital). Exhibitors and their staff must have their names and email addresses submitted to the Organiser in advance and may be required to present identification matching these details.
8. Event tickets are non-refundable except as required under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or as otherwise outlined in any applicable booking terms. Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or duplicated without the prior written consent of the Event Organiser.
9. The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend the dates for holding the event, to close the event or vary its hours, as is necessary or required by law, and to the extent permitted by law will not be liable for any loss to the participant arising from such a change.
10. Parents or guardians accompanying a student who previously attended as part of a school group may be eligible for complimentary admission under a limited promotion, as communicated by the Organiser. Terms and conditions for such promotions are at the discretion of the Organiser and must be followed as directed.
11. Teachers accompanying pre-booked school groups may attend free of charge. Eligibility and supervision requirements apply as directed by the Event Organiser.
12. In the event of a cancellation where refunds are permitted, requests must be made directly to the Event Organiser in writing via the method specified.
GENERAL EVENT CONDITIONS
13. Persons gaining unauthorised access to the event may be liable for prosecution.
14. Those persons accompanying minors at the event are responsible for the care and supervision of those minors at all times. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted to the event.
15. Smoking is not permitted inside the event venue or within 10 metres of the event entrance, or as governed by the event venue.
16. Alcohol is not permitted at the event or within the event venue.
17. Possession, use, or distribution of illicit substances within the event venue is strictly prohibited. Any person suspected of possessing, using, being under the influence of, or supplying illicit substances (as defined under applicable State or Territory legislation) will be removed from the event venue and may be referred to relevant authorities.
18. Anti-social behaviour or illegal activity will not be tolerated within the event venue. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, aggressive conduct, discriminatory behaviour, hate speech or vilification based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected attribute, as well as intoxication or wilful damage to property. Refusal to comply with management or security directives will result in ejection from the event venue without entitlement to a refund and may be referred to relevant authorities.
19. Weapons of any kind or any other items determined by the Event Organiser to be a risk of injury or public nuisance are not permitted within the event venue.
20. Unsolicited canvassing, leafleting, flyer distribution, or similar promotional activity is prohibited within the Event venue unless expressly approved in writing by the Event Organiser.
21. The Event Organiser reserves the right to ask you to present any bags or parcels carried by you for inspection.
22. No segways, bikes, skateboards, personal transportation devices or other bike-like devices to be used within the event venue. This excludes approved motorised wheelchairs and four-wheeled scooters for the disabled and/or elderly which must first be approved by the Event Organiser.
23. Dogs or other animals are not permitted within the event venue with the exception of registered guide, hearing or assistance dogs which must first be approved by the Event Organiser.
24. Footwear must be worn at all times.
25. The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry, or remove any person from within the event venue at any time without notice if it is deemed they present a risk of harm or injury to themselves, other persons or property or otherwise at the Event Organiser’s discretion.
26. Except due to the Event Organiser’s negligence or as expressly provided in these Conditions of Entry, the Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you in connection with the event and the event venue, including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the Organiser or its employees, contractors or agents. Exhibitors should note that additional liability obligations may apply under the Exhibitor Booking Terms and Conditions, which operate in conjunction with these Conditions of Entry.
27. In the event that any additional provisions are implied into these terms and conditions by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other law or regulation in force throughout Australia from time to time, to the extent permitted by law, the Event Organiser’s liability will be limited to the remedies required of the Event Organiser under the applicable law or regulation.
PHOTOGRAPHY
28. Photography and videography are permitted within the Event venue unless otherwise advised by the Organiser. Attendees and Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate consent before capturing or sharing images or recordings of individuals. The Organiser accepts no responsibility or liability for any breach of privacy or unauthorised use of images or recordings taken during the Event.
29. The Event Organiser and/or a representative of the Event Organiser will be taking promotional photography and videos at this event for promotional purposes. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed at the event should advise the photographer or camera person at the event.
30. Photographs taken at the event by the Event Organiser and/or a representative of the Event Organiser may be used on social media platforms. Photographs and videos may also be used within promotional material such as newspaper advertisements, TV commercials and other promotional material.
PRIVACY AND OTHER
31. The Event Organiser’s Privacy Policy can be accessed on our website (https://www.resourcesforcourses.com.au/about/privacy-policy/).
32. If any part of these Conditions of Entry is held to be unenforceable or invalid, then to the extent possible, the part will be severed from the remaining Conditions, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
33. These Conditions of Entry are governed by the relevant State or Territory laws of the event’s location in Australia. The parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the relevant State or Territory in Australia.
34. The Event Organiser reserves the right to modify or change these Conditions of Entry without notice.
